Explore the dazzling beauty of the Pacific Northwest with this stunning Milky Way photograph from Bend, Oregon. As a nature lover, I’ve always been drawn to the abundance of waterfalls in the area. But during my visit in August 2020, I was pleasantly surprised by the clear and unobstructed night skies.

On that particular night, there was a visible meteor shower, adding to the already breathtaking scenery. The city of Bend is known for minimal light pollution, making it the perfect spot to capture the stars. We didn’t have to venture far from our accommodations to find a prime location for our cameras.

Unfortunately, upon arriving at our chosen spot, the clouds were too thick to see any stars. But we remained patient and after two hours, luck was on our side. The clouds briefly cleared, allowing me to capture the Milky Way in all its glory. With some adjustments to my camera settings, I was able to create this stunning image within a 20-30 minute window.
